Are you Obedient?

"Don't go with those friends, they are not good company for you...Don't drink this, don't smoke that, it is not from God...Don't gossip, lie, envy....blah....blah....blah." These are most topics we get almost every day from our parents, pastors, friends, spouses etc.
But I ask: What is your respond to this?
" No, I will not do that, she is jealous of me...She doesn't know how it feels to be me...She is annoying me..."
Many of those people who are not mature say this, and this is the reason we are never going anywhere in life. There is something that I like about Moses, God demanded many things to be done by him and he firstly had doubts and questioned God's authority and that upset God a lot.

Moses said " What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say' The Lord did not appear to you'?" (Exodus 4: 1) We see Moses trying to rebel and run away from God's instruction here...because God wanted to use Him and no one else, He showed him a sign that he will show to the people if they did not believe him. Still trying to escape, he said to God, "Pardon you servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue". ( Exodus 4: 10). He then was inviting God's fury to come on him. This was not pleasing to God and it will never be.

He repented and letting God use Him in the end and through him God was able to do His will of saving the Israelites. Then later we see the Bible expressing Moses' obedience in only one sincere verse: " Moses did just as the Lord commanded him". Is it that not sweet?

I love this. I may not have perfect words to express what was revealed to me but I know that God will surely reveal it to the reader.

Life and death

When you think of dying what is your reaction?
Probably some of you are saying that they are not afraid of dying but of how the are going to die. I could not agree with you more on that if you thinking that way.
Say that we were to be told how we were going to died individually, that will eventually change your thoughts about dying because you are not going to be afraid of how you are going to die but of death its self. Imagine Jesus knowing how he was going to die and the process He will have to go through before He gives up His spirit... yet He went ahead to fulfil the scripture about His crucifixion.

By that act of bravery, we see more than sacrifice and obedience to it, but we also see Him practising what He preaches. Remember when He told us that "if the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom He has chosen, He has shortened them."  What does this have to say to us dying and living? Here it was when the Lord Jesus told us about the death of the elect, he said that they will be removed from the surface of the earth for them to be saved because no one would survive the great tribulation that was going to befall the world.

He was telling us that we must not fear to die but we must delight in it as we will be brought close to our Lord than to live: we live, we lose our salvation. Each day we receive must be for us to build our relationship with God. We cannot be wasting time with things that do not benefit our spirituality and salvation.

PS: Do not fear to die...it brings you closer to your Creator
Do not fear to live...it gives you a second chance to repent
